Teacher, Trainer, Author, and Educational Consultant Gail is a veteran teacher with thirty years of experience. She holds a Masters Degree in education with an emphasis in reading, and is certified in general education, special education, and as a reading specialist. As a classroom teacher, Ms. Adams worked with elementary and middle school students in both general and special education. As a specialist, she diagnoses reading disabilities and implements appropriate intervention programs for students of all ages. While serving as an educational consultant for the San Diego Office of Education and the North County Professional Development Federation, Adams was a contributing author and trainer for the materials developed under two California reading grants in 1999 and 2000: Struggling Reader Intervention Programs and Teaching Reading in Every Classroom. As a nationally certified trainer for the Effective Reading Intervention Academy , Summer Reading Camp, REWARDS, and Read Naturally programs, Adams trains teachers all over the United States in cooperation with school districts, state departments and professional organizations. She has been a conference presenter for the International Reading Association, National Title 1 Conference, National Association of Elementary School Administrators. Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, California Reading Association, West Coast Literacy Conference and California Association of Resource Specialists Ms. Adams has published articles in Principal Magazine and Educational Research Service. She is the co-author of three books on reading fluency: Six Minute Solution: A Reading Fluency Program: Primary for students in grades K-2; Six Minute Solution: A Reading Fluency Program: Intermediate for students in grades 3-6 and the Six Minute Solution: A Fluency Program: Secondary for students in grades 7-9. |
